Being Alone, is the Biggest FEAR of all!!

When a baby born, he enters the world all alone [except twins and other multiples ;)]. Then slowly he is made social being. 1st of all he is introduced to his parents. A child is very innocent, pure and has no fears.

But, unknowingly he is living and growing with a fear of being alone. I can cite an example, when he is into sound deep sleep he suddenly wakes up and cries loudly b'coz he feels he has been left alone and on being pampered he calms down and gets back to usual smiling face!

Its a fear which we are not ready to accept. We all feel that we are very strong persons and can live alone. But the fact is we are

afraid of being alone!!

The fact is that people come and go in one's life, no one stays forever. its just like a river which is like our life and water in it are the people which keep coming and going, no matter what!

We meet new people for 1 day, 15 days, years etc..! This new group of people becomes our comfort zone. Which we are not ready to forgo so easily.

Now starts the trouble. We get emotionally attach. We are not ready to accept that we have to move away on our directions sooner or later. However everyone comes out f it as the memories start to fade in ones mind.

My learning from Life

people come in your life to play their part in story of your life. It may be parents, friends, siblings, peers, strangers etc.

Life doesn't stop just because any Person (how important he/she may be in your life) is no more in your life. Its we who have to cover the vacuum created by the absence of that person, assume our increased responsibilities.

Life seems to be very harsh at times but it has a hidden lesson behind every move.

I am not saying that one should not be emotional or should not value someone or anyone, I am just conveying that one should be bold enough to let new people to enter into your life with warm welcome and keeping the memories of old friends, relatives etc in heart as souvenirs!

Thats how one can cherish every moment of his/her life!!

Final Word

Move on in Life with sweet memories of past life!! And don't be alone!

Cheerrrsss to life!!

GMCS 276 ROXXX

There was an obligation to be met in order to get close to my CA (Chartered Accountant) degree and that was a (long) 15 days classes (I rightly stated classes).

Lectures on GMCS : General Management and communication Skills.

Pheww..!

On 28th May, 2010 I got ready for another set of classes, without any willingness to attend them.

Day started, reached Shah auditorium (kashmiri gate, Delhi) dressed in formals. Class was packed with other CA students. I thought its a class of other 62 boring people like me. Day moves on, made a few friends. Serious topic on Communication was being discussed. I thought,

What can be more boring than this?

Slowly,
Introduction part began, started to know other batch mates.

Came Day 2, when Mr Kamal Garg (a Faculty) came. He played an important role in integration of our batch. Also he took hesitation and fear of new people out of our heart and mind. And Our batch turned into

A batch of friends..!!

Things didn't remained as they were. They changed forever. Then these unknown faces became my best pals..! And these 15 days were no longer Long ones but they were as short as just 15 seconds.

I never thought that i'll get such a beautiful friendship that too in bulk.

Nick names started to crop in.

I was named as Wakil saab then promoted to kanun ki devi!
Pratik became cutue (Q2),
Jatin was changed to Dropti,
Akhil gained charm as Lolita,
Vikas became chacha,
Roopali became our maate,
Nitin bansal became Bhediya,
Neeraj became child labour then CJ
Sashi named as Mamaji
Varun was promoted to be an HR manager,
Abhinandan became ChiChi,
Akki became CC,
among others.

Even certain rarely found photographs of men's washroom were also clicked with full enthusiasm by all the participants including Mr Ravish (our Faculty). ;)
In totality more than 3000 photographs were clicked in these 15 days of classes.

Every day started, continued and ended in full fun and enjoyment.

We developed such a great sense of understanding and unity that we together protested for keeping a class on Sunday, by wearing casuals in the Session

These veeerrryyy short 15 days are one of my most precious moments of my life.

what an irony,

God make us meet strangers, give us time to Understand each other. Build up beautiful memories.

and

when you are no more just strangers then you are torn apart and are only left with Sweet memories, so that you can feel yourself in crowd when you are all alone!

A few hangouts, total Fun in class, during Lunch, also with a Cutie Cat (near lunch table) who used to wait for us so that she also gets her meal for the time.

These small things became part of my life only for 15 days. But its impression is going to last forever.

We ended our classes with a rocking and floor braking party on 13th June, 2010 but started an all new chapter of our ever lasting friendship.

how short the meeting was, how deep impact it had,
how strangers we were all how friendly we turned,
how lovely relation we all had, how it turned unique,
Its not only a hope but a firm belief that this friendship is here to stay and grow...
No other option given to it!

These 15 days deserves the tag of "once in a lifetime".......

3 cheers to GMCS 276

Hip Hip Hurrey,
Hip Hip Hurrey,

BRUSH WITH DEATH IN GOA SEA!

IT was my first trip to city with the shores. So obviously I had to b excited. It was 29Th October, 2008 we landed in Goa. Went to the resort, things were as normal as they could have been.

On 3oTh October we went to Baga beach. There i enjoyed riding water scooter. That was awesome experience! Then I with my mom and my little nephew went for a ride in a boat, on our leisure ride suddenly a huge tide came on to the boat and over us and we were left drenched. Mother and My nephew got frightened, but I enjoyed the whole incident.

However, a question popped into my mind:

"WAS THAT A WELCOME FROM SEA OR A WARNING?"

Its 31st October now.
Things were again normal. We went to Calangut beach for enjoying more of water sports. Calangut Beach was a big beach and was looking like a huge mouth of a Giant evil who is hungry. There we had Para gliding above sea water, Dolphin Safari, and a few more.
I met a foreigner there, he suggested me to go for "BANANA RIDE". Though there were few people going for it. Its a ride in which a boat in banana shape is tied behind the motor boat and people are made to sit on the banana boat and then they take you into the sea at a distance from the beach. There the guys are supposed to tilt the banana boat and put the people sitting on banana boat into the water. For the safety purpose they tie life jackets also.

I was of the opinion that the guys accompanying along are trained professionals and they will jump into the water to rescue.

Somehow I convinced my mother and got the permission for the ride. me and my brother-in-law went for the adventurous trip. I was more than excited for something like this.

While on our way into the sea, there was so much noise of fast blowing air,
motor boat, people, tides on the water and lots..
Now the time came

They stopped the boat, tilt the banana boat and let us into the water.

The moment my head went below the water surface the whole bunch of noises
went missing. There was just 1 sound "SSHHH.." after that there was no sound, no air no people nothing.. just I and the green sea water. All i could heard is a strange sound coming from my neck when i was trying to breathAdd Image and was taking in water instead of air.
I went 7-8 feet down into the water.
I don't know how to swim, neither I am aware of much safety measures in a situation like this. Then I float my body so that water push me to the surface and raised my arm so that I can be located easily.
It took my fingers 60-65 seconds to cross the water and appear out of the surface.
Then slowly my head came out. and i discovered that none of the guys accompanying us bothered to step into the sea to locate us. Suddenly I myself climbed into the motor boat. And first thing I heard from those people is

"sorry"

My brother-in-law was still missing. i located him and gave him my hand and pull him into the boat. I found that his life jacket was open. That means it wasn't properly tied up.

They took us back to the beach. There I discovered that my sister and mother were frightened, s they were spectators to whole incident and they were telling that the normal time to come out of the sea in other cases is 15-20 seconds.

But now when I think of this incident i feel adventurous and it fill me with lot of energy. Though my mother is strictly against mine going for such sports, but I'll still go again for it,
but,
this time with full preparation, i.e.
after learning swimming!

Addition To INDIA: A LOW COST COUNTRY!

Recent metro (DMRC) accident is another example to prove that Indians are not concerned with security of life and property, rather they just want to save a few bucks and end up paying heavily for trying to save this meager amount.

FIGHT AND FIGHT BACK.

To Fight and Fight back are the biggest, best and strongest efforts one can make in his life. Time come and go, there are ups and downs in life, many a times it seems life has come to a stand still and we thing of giving up and many a times we do give up. Now that's the part of life rather this is life.

But all those who knows about PHOENIX they are aware of the fact that this mythological bird reduces to ashes but it again reincarnate itself from these ashes and rise again as a new bird. This is a inspiring thing about life. That to restart life from scratch and reach at earlier position even farther than that.

For this reincarnation what is required is a strong will power to rise again, a very stable confidence level which will act as a strong pillar to hold you strong in the toughest of time.

In the first go, there are mistakes done, there are loopholes generated, but if we have the courage to give it a come back-a fight back these mistakes act as better laid guidelines, these loopholes act as methods to plug every rare possibility. In short- THERE IS A LESSON IN EVERY FAILURE, ITS JUST THAT WE SHOULD LEARN IT.

I am a strong believer in Fighting and Fighting back and i Know even god lends a helping hand in this task.

ROAD FOR LIFE.....

LAYING ROAD AHEAD

This is the rough presentation of what i interacted with my school's (Mira Model School, Janak Puri, New Delhi) 9th class students on 9th April, 2009. I met them to tell them about my experiences from 9th Std tIll completing Ll.B.. I wanted them to learn from my mistakes and lead ahead without doing same mistakes in their life's 10yrs to come.

What I found that these children were as unaware as i was; these children though born in the faster world than I but are still as confused as I was; They, like my generation, are living withcommunication gap with their parents.

I hope that my litle effort is of some use to my younger brothers ans sisters.

Here it goes (as raw as it was, coz it was only for my refernce):-

Listen or your words will make you deaf

Introduction: this meeting shall be known as INTERACTION

v Introduction of interaction

v My introduction-

ü name,

ü qualification,

ü marks (in 8th to 12th how they changed, consistency in marks),

ü Profession- being an advocate as per my nature.

v What I was, how I was at studies. How I decided to study.(tell about 4th)

My 1 hour is investment. Sharing experience of my 10 yrs from your age to save you from those confusions

Return: 200 hrs right now, 5yrs* 200 students=1000yrs

Experience is the name which we give to our mistakes.

Start with the story of King Akbar.

Best friends are your parents

v Parents are always in our favour.

v There experience is much more than that of ours.

v Become Friends with them.

DECLARATION: YOU ALL ARE MATURED NOW.

v When you react as elders you are told you are kids and vice versa

v Age of transformation

v Turning point

v But am declaring that you all are MATURE now. And prove that you are grown up now.

ü Handle tasks,

ü Be more responsible… etc

MAIN TOPIC

BE CLEAR ABOUT YOUR LIFE GOALS

Start with the story of Kautilya/Chanakya, established biggest empire: Magadh Empire.

v 1% of you are aware of what you want to become 40% know that they want to become something. 20% know that they don’t know what they have to become and rest/majority of you do not care about it “WHATEVER” attitude

v So Decide now. (Charu’s story- NIMHANS)

v God sent you here with a purpose.

v Make sure that thing as your career what you like to do.

Do what you love to else you will be forced to love what you do

v Identify your interest area and try to make career out of it.

v Don’t do what world (parents, peer group etc) want you to.

v Its time to think how to pursue your goals.

v Make a broad picture in your mind and chalk out a plan to move in a direction to achieve it.

v Imagine a road… whichever you like, as a road to your career. Now you have to move on that road.

v Now have patience. Don’t change your path. There may be success or failure but don’t change your way. There may be ups and downs but don’t loose heart.

v FAILURE IS THE BEST LESSON TO SUCCESS BUT IT’S NOT MANDATORY.

v There is lot of competition, but its where there is lot of crowd. So do something Different.

v Don’t walk behind crowd make your own roads.

v Be Educated as you all are already literate(as per govt)

Successful people don’t do different things, they do things differently

Success is a journey and not destination.

How to go about your career/ goals

v Chose your career with a prospect of 7 yrs from now.

v Start gathering information about it as per your need, because you understand yourself more than anyone else.

v Ask your seniors, parents, teachers about current market scenario and what is it expected to be after a few years.

v Work hard and smart for it.

TV channels/shows to be watched

v Doesn’t watch shows like roadies it means sadak chhap, etc. they are showing you wrong path wrong world to earn money. They have nothing to do with you, your career or your family.

v Instead watch discovery channel, comedy serials. They will help you to improve yourself.

v Once I was listening to then president Hon’ble Sh. APJ Abdul Kalam, that he do not have TV at home.

v Movies like WATER, Gandhi my father, Khuda Ke liye..

ANGER IS A TYPE OF ENERGY: USE IT

v Try this: when you are angry: you take up a book and you will realize that you are reading very fast.

OVERALL DEVELOPMENT IS MOST IMP

v Studies are imp but not “only” imp

v Extra curricular activities,

v Read newspaper, books

v It will pay in life.

v It very important to be aware of current world situation.

v Be a responsible and aware citizen.

Books are your friends

v Believe in god, believe in nature. NATURE is the SUPREME: written in Shimad Bhagwat Geeta.

v Believe in yourself

v Learn to say no.

v Acceptance opens your doors to learning so never step back from accepting your fault.

v Read about Gautam Budhha (middle path)

DREAM

v Biggest problem is that people don’t dream. If they dream they don’t follow them.

v It’s not bad to dream BIG.

v Any big achievement starts with a small thing called as dream…

SO DREAM

Dreams are not those which you see when you sleep rather Dreams are those which don’t let you sleep.

It’s not a matter of worry that you set your target so high that you missed it; rather it’s dangerous that you set your target low and you achieved it.

TAKE OUT TIME TO TALK TO YOURSELF

v Only you know yourself best.

v Biggest problem with today is people don’t have time to talk to themselves. They have lost touch with their inner soul.

v Self guidance and motivation are the best one.

v Ultimately it’s you who have to decide about your life.

HEALTH

v Health is most important. Keep fit. For that:

o go out and play

o eat healthy food

o exercise is must

o NO SMOKING/ DRINKING- TELL ABOUT DAD.

To end with:

What MATURED people do is:

Never compare yourself with anyone, if you do you insult yourself.

Try to solve your problems on your own with guidance of your parents and teachers.

Difference b/w success and failure is:

that in success things were done exactly done correct and in failure things were done nearly correct.

Its you who can understand yourself the BEST.

Always be ready to learn…. Now it’s a new beginning.

ROD SPARED, CHILD SPOILED.. NOW, NO EXAMINATION AND CONFIDENCE LOST!

SPARE THE ROD AND SPOILED THE CHILD!!! My maternal Grand father (Nanaji), Ltae Sh. D.D. Dhawan, who was a gold medalist teacher, scholar, author, mathematician, founder of school among others, used to say this. He was a strong believer of this school of thought. Even I am believer of this school of thought.

I would like to state that I am not in favour of teachers turning into devils and beating child like anything, but I am stating that education and rod go hand in hand. Education is a Wide term much more than literacy. Its teachers' poised duty to educate a child and make him a responsible citizens and rod has lot to do with it.

I thank my teachers to keep rod ready for me hose beating has a role in my making. I have seen in my real life what wonders can be done for child with this rod. There was a friend of mine(am not naming him) he was below average student. his father walked into our coaching institute when he was promoted to class 10Th to ask the teacher to make his child clear this 10Th class exams with at least 50% marks. He passed 9Th class with merely 40% marks. And our teacher assuming her responsibility with the help of her extra efforts, caring tone at times and being rude at other times, using scale as the rod made him clear his 10Th class examinations with 58% marks.

This is just one example.

Now Mr. Kapil Sibal a very senior advocate (so my Respected Senior too) and currently HRD minister with Govt. Of India has come up with a new plan making single board to impart secondary level education throughout India and making this examination (10Th class) optional for the students.

I support my senior's 1st plan. But with due respect for his thoughts would like to state that I don't agree to his SECOND scheme to phase out/make optional the class 10Th examination.

If I talk about me as a student who appeared for the class 10Th exam in the year 2000, I would like to mention that I didn't find this exam as a stressful exam. It was just like any other exam which we were taking in some other school for a change. Even if these exams are tagged to be full of stress exams, then this stress is necessary. This stress will lay down 1st step in preparing child for handling stress through his life. LIFE IS NOT A CAKEWALK! Life has to lived up in a very alert way. It is filled with lot of decisions taken under stressful situation. Rather life continues only if it is able to clear the stressful situations in a successful manner which is possible only because of our decisions.

Now a days everyone is after MBA, MBA is all about preparing a candidate for working under stressful situations. If a child is made to live easier life how will he sustain MBA curriculum and moreover Curriculum of life and his job/business/profession??

In the recent past class 10Th and 12Th examinations have been made very easy. 20% to 30% marks are in the hands of school teachers by way of internal assessment, submitting projects etc. and for remaining 70% to 80% 3 hrs and 15 mins are granted to child as compared to our times when there were no internal assessment etc and for 100 marks exam we were granted 3 hrs in total. All this is already reducing education quality and now above all this even exams are planned to e phased out.

So I request Hon'ble HRD minister not to make these exams optional neither phase them out. Rather they should be more efficient and of better quality which produces strong human beings who are in turn have to run this nation. Otherwise there will be weak citizens who will be young, impatient and unable to take any firm decision for themselves and for nation's too.
